Do you ever feel that there is something inside you?

Something very old, that will come out one day.

During the British Raj, to meet the world's insatiable desire for blue, vast swathes of the Bengali countryside were given over to the cultivation of the indigo plant. The atrocities committed by British planters triggered an extraordinary revolution that changed Bengal forever.

1859. A field in Kanaipur, Bengal. Life-loving Sadhu Charan, an indigo farmer, is newly married to Kshetromani, a woman with visions of the future. At first, all is idyllic. But when the new British Planter, Rose, arrives, full of strange desires, the creeping malignancy of the indigo system begins to strangle their happiness…

Can't you hear the footsteps all around?

The Indigo Giant is coming!

Born out of a dialogue between British and Bangladeshi theatre makers, INDIGO GIANT is a gripping, haunting new drama inspired by Dinabandhu Mitra's trail-blazing INDIGO MIRROR, a play that shook colonial India.

RSVP Bhangra's unique blending of Punjabi Indian music with dance beats and mainstream pop has created a new and irresistible sound that audiences everywhere love and keep on coming back for. Is it Dildar's melodious voice and charismatic stage-presence, Judge's deliciously engaging interactive involvement with the audience or perhaps Jeevan's insistent dhol drumbeats - or even Cris and Puggy's sharp rhythmic underscore that does it? Who knows? The resulting effect, however achieved, is immediately involving, compulsive and extremely addictive!

Every show comes with an introduction to Bhangra dance - everyone's included with RSVP's emphasis on partying Punjabi style. With musicians wholly rooted in an authentic living tradition, yet unafraid to innovate, this is the ultimate celebratory Indian music.

IODS Presents... CURTAINS

Boston, 1959. At the Colonial Theatre, the cast of Robbin’ Hood takes their bows on opening night. Just as the curtain falls, so does Jessica Cranshaw, the profoundly untalented leading lady of the production. Enter Lieutenant Frank Cioffi, a fast-talking cop with a love for musical theatre. He quarantines the cast and crew inside the theatre while he searches for clues. But Cioffi doesn’t just investigate the murder--he also offers advice and insight into improving Robbin’ Hood. The musical will open again in 24 hours with a new leading lady, so the clock is ticking to find the killer and put on a killer show. Who could it be? Carmen Bernstein, the sassy and brassy producer? Christopher Belling, the campy and egotistical director? Georgia Hendricks, the lyricist who replaces Jessica onstage? Niki Harris, the ingenue with a secret? Everyone is a suspect, and only Cioffi can make sense of the evidence.

Curtains is a musical-theatre parody of whodunnit classics, with numbers ranging from the classic musical theatre song-and-dance “A Tough Act to Follow” to the heartfelt “I Miss the Music.” A comedic send-up suitable for all ages, Curtains will have the audience laughing until the last curtain falls.

Curtains is presented through special arrangement with and all authorised performance materials are supplied by Theatrical Rights Worldwide (TRW), www.theatricalrights.co.uk

Global Productions presents...

London Assurance

‘(It’s) equal to anything yet known in the way of theatrical embellishment,’ opined The Times newspaper after the opening night at the Theatre Royal, Covent Garden of Dion Boucicault’s 1841 comedy London Assurance. A remarkably assured piece of work for a twenty-one year-old playwright the production excelled in its dandyish wit and its distancing devices, to Pinero and beyond: and, most of all, to Wilde, whom Boucicault encouraged and supported. The splendid tensions it sets up – town v country, father v son, and artifice v authenticity – are traditionally neat and well made. Considered by many critics as the Irish genius of London theatre in the age of Dickens, Boucicault created – in the egotistical and vain Sir Harcourt Courtly and the mischievous and fun-loving Lady gay Spanker – two of the great comic roles of the English stage.

In this version presented by Global Theatre Productions and adapted from the original script in 2010 by the award-winning dramatist Richard Bean, we meet the preening, foppish Courtley, who is lured away from the epicenter of fashionable London by the promise of a rich and beautiful bride several decades his junior. He soon discovers, however, that the exuberant character of her hearty cousin, Lady Spanker, eclipses those of his future wife’s charms. What follows is a rumbustious, and celebrated romp filled with larger-than-life characters and hilarious set pieces.

Remarkably compelling, amazingly detailed and always humorous...

The popular star of TV’s Street Psychic, Psychic Private Eyes and Psychic Academy, Tony Stockwell has a long-established credibility as one of the top Intuitive Mediums and has shared the stage all round the world with international mediums such as Colin Fry, James van Praagh and Lisa Williams. Tony demonstrates his belief that those who have passed can communicate with their loved ones with detailed messages frequently including names, dates and locations, all delivered with emotion, sensitivity and empathy. The evening may include psychometry, photographs readings and psychic prediction.

Recent legislative guidelines insist that any Evening of Mediumship should be billed ‘for entertainment purposes’.

Tony certainly uses his natural wit, showmanship and Cockney charisma to entertain but more important, Mediumship has the potential to change someone’s life and instil in them a sense of peace, comfort and purpose. We hope that nobody can fail to come away untouched by the experience.
