Illumination, creators of the blockbuster Minions, Despicable Me, Sing and The Secret Life of Pets comedies, invites you to take flight into the thrill of the unknown with a funny, feathered family vacation like no other in the action-packed new original comedy, Migration.

The Mallard family is in a bit of rut. While dad Mack is content to keep his family safe paddling around their New England pond forever, mum Pam is eager to shake things up and show their kids—teen son Dax and duckling daughter Gwen—the whole wide world. After a migrating duck family alights on their pond with thrilling tales of far-flung places, Pam persuades Mack to embark on a family trip, via New York City, to tropical Jamaica. As the Mallards make their way South for the winter, their well-laid plans quickly go awry. The experience will inspire them to expand their horizons, open themselves up to new friends and accomplish more than they ever thought possible, while teaching them more about each other—and themselves—than they ever imagined.

IODS PRESENTS... ANIMAL FARM

Animal Farm is a fable with a sting.

Much has been written about the threat of Communism, but it remained to the late George Orwell, farsighted British author of the brilliant and frightening 1984, to expose the Russian experiment for what it really is; an idealist's dream, converted by realists into a nightmare.

Led by three pigs, the disgruntled animals overthrow their human owner, take control of the farm and create a new society in which: "All Animals Are Equal." The Pigs are first to take charge, but as each of them vie for power, the society becomes corrupted and the animals are led into a dark and brutal existence, in which "Some Animals Are More Equal Than Others."

In this timely allegory, you will meet beasts whose prototypes have dominated news headlines for many fearful years. Opening on a note of joyous triumph for the creatures who have emancipated themselves from the cruel mastery of a human owner, the play mounts inexorably to a climax of disillusionment in which the other animals discover themselves now subject to the rule of even more ruthless autocrats: the greedy, cunning pigs.

Intermingling humour and drama, Animal Farm wrings the emotions of its listeners, leaving audiences shaken with the tale of a tragedy that happened in a mythical barnyard far away but could happen in our own back yard.

After three death-defying adventures defeating world-class villains with his unmatched courage and mad martial arts skills, Po, the Dragon Warrior (Golden Globe nominee Jack Black), is called upon by destiny to … give it a rest already.

More specifically, he’s tapped to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace. That poses a couple of obvious problems. First, Po knows as much about spiritual leadership as he does about the paleo diet, and second, he needs to quickly find and train a new Dragon Warrior before he can assume his new lofty position. Even worse, there’s been a recent sighting of a wicked, powerful sorceress, Chameleon (Oscar® winner Viola Davis), a tiny lizard who can shapeshift into any creature, large or small. And Chameleon has her greedy, beady little eyes on Po’s Staff of Wisdom, which would give her the power to re-summon all the master villains whom Po has vanquished to the spirit realm. So, Po’s going to need some help. He finds it (kinda?) in the form of crafty, quick-witted thief Zhen (Golden Globe winner Awkwafina), a corsac fox who really gets under Po’s fur but whose skills will prove invaluable.

In their quest to protect the Valley of Peace from Chameleon’s reptilian claws, this comedic odd-couple duo will have to work together. In the process, Po will discover that heroes can be found in the most unexpected places.

The Dresser

It’s 1942. The Blitz is at its height overhead, ‘Sir’ about to perform ‘Lear’ in a run-down provincial theatre with an elderly largely untalented cast is exhausted, ill and struggling to remember which play he is in let alone any of his lines.

His long-suffering wife, bitter at his frequent infidelities, is at the end of her tether, and temptation lurks yet again in the shapely form of Irene, a new recruit to the company.

It’s time for the curtain to go up but ‘Sir’ is nowhere near ready either mentally or physically.

Can his increasingly tipsy dresser and his devoted Stage Manager get him to the stage on time?

Both tense and funny, this play is a must for lovers of theatre.

Four voices that defined a decade: Dusty Springfield, Cilla Black, Lulu and Petula Clark.

Between them they had many of the very greatest songs of the 60s. Do you remember ... Downtown ... This Is My Song ... If You Go Away ... Shout ... Love Loves To Love Love ... Alfie ... Anyone Who Had A Heart ... You're My World ... You Don't Have To Say You Love Me?

You will hear these and many, many more of your favourites, all brilliantly performed by Samantha and her band.

Through the magic of theatre, 'Dusty, Cilla, Lulu & Pet' will transport you to a TV studio for a typical 1960s music show. And don't worry, although back then there were only two television channels and much of the output was still in black-and-white, this show is full of colour.

The best songs, from the best singers ... all in one amazing feel-good show.

The popular star of TV’s Street Psychic, Psychic Private Eyes and Psychic Academy, Tony Stockwell has a long-established credibility as one of the top Intuitive Mediums and has shared the stage all round the world with international mediums such as Colin Fry, James van Praagh and Lisa Williams. Tony demonstrates his belief that those who have passed can communicate with their loved ones with detailed messages frequently including names, dates and locations, all delivered with emotion, sensitivity and empathy. The evening may include psychometry, photographs readings and psychic prediction.

Recent legislative guidelines insist that any Evening of Mediumship should be billed ‘for entertainment purposes’.

Tony certainly uses his natural wit, showmanship and Cockney charisma to entertain but more important, Mediumship has the potential to change someone’s life and instil in them a sense of peace, comfort and purpose. We hope that nobody can fail to come away untouched by the experience.

CLARE AND CORY SHARE A (GLORIOUS) STORY

by Joe Bromley

Where’s the class bear?

Let us explain:

Jane shares her train (batteries not included)

Anmol shares his doll (wonky leg; mended several times)

Michael shares his cycle (a trusty three-wheeler)

Willow and Joe both have a go with a yo-yo

BUT

Clare NEVER EVER shares her pear

Until she loses the class bear (uh-oh)

Enter Cory

Can he save the day with a story?

Join Really Big Pants for a glorious story of sharing, exploring, and daring, written entirely in rhyme.  This interactive show encourages children to not only share their belongings and enjoy a great story, but also to explore the natural world so close to home.  And there’s an accompanying longer-form picture book, illustrated by the award-winning Steve Smallman, available to buy on the day, featuring the exact text so you can relive the adventure at home!
